Bloomington Parks & Recreation is presenting a new concert series each Sunday afternoon in September, beginning at 4:30. The Community Concert Band (9/8), The Jim Markum Swing Band (9/15), Illinois Brass Works (9/22), and The State Farm Employee Assoc. Big Band (9/29) will each perform in the "September Sundays" series. Take a picnic, lawn chair and your family and friends to enjoy the cool sounds and warm autumn weather in the park.

Friday Workshops on the grounds of the David Davis Mansion will feature care and restoration of vintage houses as well as new construction with classic features. On Saturday, enjoy activities for all ages. Roy Underhill, host of the PBS show, "The Woodwright's Shop" will make a guest appearance, and an antiques auction will also be held. The Old House Society co-sponsors this event, which will include food, vendors, demonstrations, kids' building fair, and a classic car show.
