Lucca Grill
116 E. Market St., Blm.
(309) 829-6662

One of Bloomington-Normal's oldest institutions is Lucca Grill, founded in 1936 by Fred and John Baldini, immigrant brothers who named the the place after their hometown in northern Italy. Fred's sons, Tot and John, carried on the family tradition, establishing the local watering hole as a "must stop" for sports figures and politicians alike as they traveled throughout the twin cities. When the Baldini brothers retired, John turned the bar & grill over to his son-in-law, Chuck Williams, who continues to operate it today. Chuck's four children represent the fourth generation who will carry the family tradition into the future. The Chicago Tribune called Lucca Grill "...one of the great saloons in Illinois." Maybe the world. There's even Celtic, Irish, Scottish & folk music for your entertainment every Monday night at 7:30.
