Susan Palmer has studied art extensively at the University of Cincinnati, University of Hawaii and the Honolulu Academy of Arts.
She exhibits her work in juried shows, juried art fairs (her work won first place in the 2001 Sugar Creek Art Festival fine arts category), and in galleries. She has participated in many one-artist as well as group shows in both Hawaii and Illinois.
Susan's gestural drawings of people are usually created on location while thay are in motion, ie: musicians, beauty salon customers, diners and drinkers, sports persons...anyone could be a subject. Use of minimum line and color captures the fleeting moment. All works are one-of-a-kind originals; there are no prints made.
