Joann Goetzinger’s work is characterized by the use of visual elements derived from natural subjects. These elements are combined through the use of color and imaginative anatomy. Joann expresses her work in three dimensional shaped oil paintings on wood which have some characteristics of both painting and sculpture.

Joann received a Master of Fine Arts degree in art studio in 1988 from Illinois State University, and concentrates on metalworking, sculpture and more recently, painting.

Joann’s work has been exhibited at shows in Lafayette, Indiana; Indianapolis; New Haven, CT; Milwaukee, WI; Downey, California; Winston-Salem, North Carolina and Warrensburg, Missouri. In Bloomington-Normal she has exhibited at the McLean County Art Center Juried exhibit, Studio 222 and the Illinois State University Art Galleries.
